The piece opens with background rain sounds, some ‘purring’ type sounds close to the hydrophone and various other low-level underwater sounds. Again, like in January, there is a vague sounding of an animal moving through the stereo field of the hydrophone. However, February also reflects the low activity levels under the water at this time of the year.
